For a delicious chocolate cake you need 250 ml of refined flour, 250 ml yogurt, 250 ml of sugar, 75 ml of butter, 2.5 ml of baking soda, 2.5 ml of baking powder, 15 ml lemon juice and 3 tbsp cocoa powder. For the topping you need to procure 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 50 ml butter, 100 ml sugar and 50 g shelled walnuts.

First of all, turn on your oven for preheat at 220 degree Celsius. Take a big mixing bowl and start by beating sugar and melted butter in it. Now add yogurt and beat it well to obtain even consistency. Once that is done add refined flour a little at a time and keep on mixing thoroughly till all the flour goes into the batter. Add cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and lemon juice, and mix well all the ingredients.
Now, pick up a baking form of your choice and place a sheet of baking paper/butter paper cut in the shape of the form on it. Shift all content from the mixing bowl to the baking form. You may like to do the topping with some roughly chopped walnuts. Place the cake into the oven and allow it to bake for good 40-50 minutes.

To check if your cake is properly baked poke a tooth-pick right into the center of the cake through its bottom. If the tooth-pick comes out clean, it indicates that your cake is baked and ready to be taken out of the oven.

Take 50 ml melted butter in a cup, add 2 tbsp cocoa powder and 100 ml sugar. Mix them well and pour the mixture on the baked cake. Now you may choose to eat your yummy chocolate cake hot or cold.

Enjoy baking and eating this recipe! Do write to me how it went! Good Luck!!
