Waking up to a lazy Sunday morning when you don’t want to go for any elaborate cooking but feeling hungry like anything, then I have a very easy solution for you which will get you tasty breakfast on the table in just 10 minutes. All you have to do is:
- 2 slices of white/brown bread
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds or rye
- 2 tbsp cream
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1 pinch red chili powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp ghee or butter
Mix chopped tomato with cream, green chili, red chili powder and salt. Take a bread sliced and place this mixture on it generously. Cover this slice with another bread slice.
Set a pan on medium flame and pour 1 tbsp butter or ghee on it. When the butter/ghee is well heated, add mustard seeds or rye to it. When the mustard seeds have charged their colour or when they have crackled, quickly place the sandwich on the pan. All mustard seeds will stick to one side of the bread’s surface. Flip the sandwich to toast from the other side. The result is something like this
This ‘tasty bread‘ is definitely tasty, healthy and can be prepared in a jiffy. You can have your tasty breakfast ready practically in no time.
